 Autowerks Training Inc. Rules - General

 

1.. Autowerks Training Inc. and Euro Systems Automotive Training Inc. holds all copyrights for all published material within both Technical Support Sites.

 

2.. Any and all content that includes text, images (.jpg .gif), pfd documents, word processing documents, screen captures, presentations or videos posted to this Technical Support Site, is to be considered private and the sole property of Autowerks Training Inc. including Euro Systems Automotive Training Inc.

 

3.. Any and all copyright material that was generated outside of Autowerks Training Inc. with Euro Systems Automotive Training Inc. remains the sole property of that copyright holder.

 

4.. Any and all content posted for technical support to this technical support site is to remain solely within the Autowerks Training site, including Euro Systems Automotive Training Inc.

 

5.. This Technical Support Group is herein called and referred to as:

Autowerks TSG

 

6.. For your information the word "Group" includes all Owners, Administrators,  Moderators, Repair Facility Owners and Repair Facility Technicians current and former to Autowerks TSG.

 

7.. Under no circumstances shall any current or former member have permission to forward, share, sell or dispense any or all content in whole or part, outside of Autowerks TSG.

 

8.. Explicit authorization must be received from Autowerks TSG ,Autowerks Training Inc. and Euro Systems Automotive Training Inc. to forward or share Autowerks TSG property, intellectual property, images, text, documents, books, presentations, Immobilizer Codes or software. There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

9.. All members must ensure that copyright material is permitted to be posted and must also be quoted as to it's origin. Autowerks TSG is not responsible for a members inability to know where the content originated.

 

10.. All members must ensure that any content posted to the Autowerks TSG, is VW / Audi - Porsche Cayenne technical or service associated. Exceptions can be made in special circumstances. Contact an Administrator first, for consultations and exceptions.

 

11.. Autowerks TSG, Autowerks Training Inc. and Euro Systems Training Inc, will never tolerate any offensive language, behavior or material. Period!

 

12.. Autowerks TSG, Autowerks Training Inc. and Euro Systems Training Inc, will never tolerate any disrespect to the site Owners, Administrators, Moderators, Repair Facility Owners and Repair Facility Technicians current to this technical support site.

 

13.. Repair Facility Owners and Repair Facility Technicians current and former to this technical support site, are responsible for content and posts.

 

14.. Autowerks TSG, Autowerks Training Inc. and Euro Systems Training Inc. is NOT responsible for misinformation and shoddy repairs.

 

15.. All Owners, Administrators, Moderators, Repair Facility Owners and Repair Facility Technicians must follow the posting guidelines.

 

16.. Autowerks TSG has the right to change any or all guidelines but will make the greatest effort to inform current and future members.

 

17. If another Repair Facility Owner or Repair Facility Technician needs to post for a solution and WAS NEVER FACILITY REGISTERED, the posting Technician must include his or her name at the end of the post. Abuse of this allowance will terminate the entire facility IP address structure and banning is inevitable.

 

18.. All members must post his or her name at the end of their post.

 

19.. Multiple IP addresses may be considered for members that post outside of their repair facilities. The Administrators must be contacted for acceptance. Abuse of this allowance will terminate the entire facility IP address structure and banning is inevitable.

 

20.. Email addresses are allowed with the post in circumstances where direct help is required. Members that require this type of help MUST post their cures and fixes back to the original or ending post.

 

21..  All posts MUST have one of two closed solutions.

21a. Closed with a fix (Detailed)

21b. Closed with a non fix (Detailed)

 

22a.. Autowerks TSG highly recommends Mozilla Fire Fox as the primary browser because of ease of use and of course built in "Spell Check".

22b.. Autowerks TSG highly recommends AVAST antivirus

22c.. Autowerks TSG highly recommends members to "pre-write their posts"

22d.. Autowerks TSG highly recommends Spybot Search and Destroy anti-malware software.

 

23..Autowerks TSG highly recommends "Little Registry Cleaner" This small but powerful tool will quickly clean all the garbage left behind from any software that was installed or uninstalled. Use google and search for it.

 

24.. Language is ENGLISH, you can write non English, but you MUST translate your message into English within the same post. This is because some members can not explain their problem clearly and other members may have the language skills and understand the message in their native language.

 

25.. All members should be committed to help, instruct and attend training formal training within the Autowerks TSG.

 

26.. Be aware, only the initial post will be viewed by all members. This will cut down on unwanted emails but members should visit the archives for open posts that require help

 

27.. Members must look for and search for possible solutions within the archives BEFORE posting.

 

28.. Please read your emails once in a while and help the ones that need it. Some day, you'll need that help. Learn and enjoy your stay.

 

 

For Specialized Technicians - Security and Authorization

 

 

Autowerks TSG Posting Rules for Specialized Posting

 

NOTE: With the correct credentials, hardware and software, remote Immobilizer systems from version 1 through 3 is now possible. Other systems may require direct bench connections.

 

When working with security systems that will include the Immobilizer, these rules will be followed and STRICKLY administered.

There are absolutely no exceptions unless by an Administrator!

 

 

1) This specialized technical site must have the shop owner and or technicians following information and must be certified:

1a) Current photo from a Drivers License or Passport

1b) Current shop and home address

1c) Current regional or city police report.

 

 

2) If a member knowingly helps a banned member, that member will be banned!

 

3) All Security or Immobilizer attachments MUST be uploaded using an RAR format and with a PASSWORD with at least 8 mixed characters.

 

4) All passwords will be stored for members and future site use.

 

5) The original password must be sent to the administrator and the member that needs that help.

 

6) Asking for a password in a post is forbidden.

 

6a) Asking for any security code or PIN in a post that is not associated with the repair facility is forbidden unless that member is helping in the original post.

 

6b) Asking for any security code or PIN in a post for research is forbidden unless be special permission of the posting shop/technician and Administrator.

 

6c) Sharing login information (password and user ID) with other businesses or individuals not employed by the member is strictly fobidden. Autowerks TSG reserves the right to monitor logins and will suspend any member in violation of this policy.

 

7) Any or all Security with Immobilizer repairs MUST have the permission of the CURRENT owner of the vehicle. Included can be an electronic statement and or image of the registration for that vehicle.

 

8) ALL Security and PIN codes will be stored and administered by Euro Systems Automotive Training Inc. Only the Shop Owner or CURRENT vehicle owner has access to those codes.

 

9) Posting any Security or PIN code is forbidden.

 

10) Any member that is found to be involved in theft of public property will be exposed and this site has the right and will contact a Regional, State, Federal Police Service and Interpol.

 

11) Members must include ALL DETAILS to make it easier to guide the other members to a solution. Details must include a complete controller scan with customer notes and thoughts. The shop must also include all performed tests with results. As an example: All posts will include the following if possible. This will help the reading members to solve your problem.

A. Fault Codes

B. Repair History

C. The reason for the post (Immobilizer issue)

D. Data scans of the computer or multiple computers

E. The IC type and model (Motorola, TRW, National Semiconductor)

F. The eeprom type must be in the post

G. The computer part and type number must be in the post

 

12) All solved threads must be edited and add (Solved) on the last post or ask for the post to be CLOSED. This takes effect immediately and INCLUDES all other posts in this forum.

 

13) All Administrators, Moderators and Members will be treated with respect. Violation of this rule is a permanent ban.

 

14) The Administrators / Moderators have the right to change, update remove, edit and delete any content of these rules.

 

15) The Administrators / Moderators have the right to change, update remove, edit and delete any content of the posts.

 

16) The Administrators / Moderators have the right to ban any member that does not follow the rules for Autowerks TSG.

 

17) Senior (active) members are very welcome to ask for rule changes, modifications, clarifications or additions. Those changes will be between those Senior (active) members and the Administration / Moderators.
